Individual Therapy in Chicago
We empower teens and adults to live a healthier and fuller life.
Mental health is just as important as physical health.
Therapy is active: we work on it together to get better at expressing thoughts and feelings.
People can change. It may not be easy or instant, but it does happen when people take accountability and actionable steps to get healthier. I see people from all sorts of demographics, but we all want the same things. We all want to belong, to be seen, and to be loved. I know how cheesy that is! Doing this work for nearly a decade has shown me that we all have insecurities and fears. While it takes time to work on oneself, it is a beautiful thing to witness and experience. As a therapist, I am truly honored and inspired by the people I work with.
Therapy for everyone, but a few specialties:
-

Teens & Young Adults
Let’s work through the highs and lows of classes, friendships, and connecting with family.
-

High Achievers & Burnout
Effectively balancing your needs while honoring your ambitions is no easy feat but it is possible.
-

Discover what feels authentic to you and how to make healthier connections.
Get healthier coping skills through therapy
You already have coping skills! Some are healthy and some are not. We can refine these together so you are turning toward healthier ways to self-regulate! My goal is for you to no longer need therapy as you will have the tools to manage whatever stress comes your way. Of course, you can always come back! Therapy takes hard work but it’s also very freeing and calming when you work though your stuff.
Meet your therapist:
Stephanie
I grew up as a latchkey kid in the Little Village area of Chicago. With limited funds and resources, I understood the value and importance of getting an education. As a first-generation student, I had a lot to figure out for myself.
Studying psychology and learning about what influences people to act, think, and feel differently served as the catalyst to therapy. Being attuned to body language and the nuances of talking to somebody in a vulnerable position served as the building blocks of my therapeutic approach. It has been a journey to become a therapist!
