Crashing Out? Teen & Young Adult Therapy in Chicago

When you start taking out your emotions on others, whether they deserve it or not, can be a sign you are overwhelmed and need some support.

Therapy can help to make that feeling a little lighter.

How?

Sometimes therapy is just a safe space to externally process all the thoughts swirling around in your mind.

We don’t have to go over the big issues right away. We can process drama with your friends, the TikTok video that really stood out to you, or even that annoying thing your parent does.

You don’t have to carry sadness alone.

Maybe you are feeling overwhelmed at school and at home.

Your teacher gave you a big assignment and your mom keeps asking why you don’t come out of your room. You prefer to listen to music in your room to zone out. You know people care about you, but you still feel alone and heavy. Is this feeling ever going to go away?

Or you just graduated and everyone is asking what you will do next… You are ready to prove yourself at work. It’s an entry-level job and you know you can do it but the imposter syndrome hits. What if I’m not good enough?

We can talk about it!

All you need to come to therapy is the motivation to take the first step.

A more balanced life is achievable! If you’re an overwhelmed teen or a parent who is worried about their teen, ResilientU is the place.

Young adulthood is a space in between that can feel vague.

I’m a calm presence that helps you build resilience. We will work together to figure out what is working and what isn’t.

I was such a shy kid and now I talk to people daily for a living! I know what it’s like to slowly come out of your shell, so I definitely take my time working with guarded teens and young adults because I know it’s not easy to be in therapy.

I see young people struggling with self-esteem, depression, anxiety, self-harm, and unsure how to talk to their parents.

Instead of using ChatGPT, maybe I can be a real person and presence in your life that will safely keep you on the right path.
